Prominent visiting scholars and writers from around the world present a range of seminars, masterclasses, and workshops on the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ campus.
English and creative writing students participate in internships in Kansas City; Nashville; New York City; and Washington, D.C.; as well as locations abroad such as China and Taiwan.
Faculty members in the English Department oversee student research and are regularly finalists for the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ's Research Mentor of the Year award.
Students pursuing degrees in English and creative writing can practice their skills or share their work via Truman’s online literary journal, student-edited campus literary magazine, and student-produced newspaper.
