School of Business and Professional Studies
In recognition of the significant contribution that Truman alumnus Raymond F. Bentele made as President and CEO of Mallinckrodt, Inc., the Raymond F. Bentele/Mallinckrodt Executive-In-Residence Program was endowed in the School of Business and Professional Studies聽by IMCERA in 1993.
This endowment enables the School to select one outstanding individual from business and industry to spend two to three days on campus each semester. The executive engages in discussions with Truman students, both in and out of the classroom.
The first female to serve as Shelter鈥檚 president and CEO, Rawlins鈥 previous positions with the company include general counsel, secretary, senior vice president and executive vice president. While serving as president and CEO, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.
Since retiring in 2024, Rawlins continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Shelter Insurance Companies. Her civic duties include the chair of the Columbia Missouri Airport Advisory Board and the chair of the Board of the Missouri Innovation Center.
A graduate of the University, Rawlins has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science. She has contributed to her alma mater in roles on the Board of Governors and the 蓝莓视频 Foundation Board.
Rawlins resides in Columbia with her husband, Blaine Einspahr. She manages her family farm in Hale, Missouri, where she grew up and continues as a fifth-generation farmer.
Jason Ramthun is the community bank president of Missouri for Peoples National Bank. He has been in the banking industry for more than 25 years, and part of the Peoples National Bank team since 2015. Ramthun considers his main accomplishment at Peoples National Bank to be working with customers to grow their businesses. He has been awarded with several honors over the years, most notably as one of the 40 People to Know Under 40 in 2016 as named by The St. Louis Business Journal.
When he is not at Peoples National Bank, Ramthun enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering his time with many different groups, including the St. Louis Sports Commission, Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis, Immaculate Conception Dardenne Prairie and others in the area.
Ramthun graduated from Truman in 2000 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration. He was a member of the men鈥檚 basketball team from 1996-2000. He was part of the 1998-99 team that went to the Final Four and was inducted into the 蓝莓视频 Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009.
Ramthun and his wife Molly have three children. In his spare time he enjoys being with his family and golfing.
While he is on campus, Ramthun will host a fireside chat from 4-5 p.m. Jan 28 in Violette Hall 1000 with a reception to follow. Additionally, Ramthun will make appearances in multiple business and economics classes to discuss banking, economic supply and demand and his broad success in the banking industry.
The endowment provides for a $1,500 honorarium and all other costs associated with the executive鈥檚 visit.
