Truman offers a number of Graduate Teaching/Research Assistantship (GTRA) positions for qualified applicants pursuing a master’s degree in:

• Accountancy
• Athletic Training
• Education
• English
• Music

The assistantship may include a cash stipend and a fee waiver of up to nine credit hours per academic semester, amounts to be determined by the department. All books, supplies, and special course fees are the responsibility of the student. The GTRA is contracted to work on a one-fourth time (quarter-time) basis, and some assistantships are renewable for a second year.

How Can I Be Considered?

  You can indicate your interest in GTRA positions when you complete the聽Application for Graduate Programs
• Current Graduate Student
  Contact the Graduate Studies Office at gradstudies@truman.edu.

Application Deadline

All applications (and materials, including test scores) must be received prior to Feb. 15聽 to be considered for a GTRA for the following school year. Mid-year GTRA positions may be available. Ask your program director if you would like to be considered for a position starting in January.
