The Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Performance or Composition provides you with the most musically intense major within the music discipline at Truman. This path prepares you for a career in professional performance in music, composition, or for graduate study in these areas.

Gain hands-on experience in our ensembles ranging from Symphony Orchestra to the University Chorus. You can also find opportunities to conduct various ensembles.

If you plan to major in music, you will need to audition. Our music scholarships are awarded based on ability demonstrated in your audition.
